Repair Your Mobile Editorial Policy

Every repair verdict starts with the fault, names its evidence and separates editorial judgment from commercial relationships.

Our Standards

Repair Your Mobile coverage is guided by four principles:

  1. Diagnose before recommending — We describe the fault and reasonable checks before suggesting a part, tool or service route
  2. Show the evidence — Repairability and part-quality claims must identify their source, limits and last review date
  3. Name the risk — Opening damage, battery safety, water exposure, calibration and data-loss risks are never hidden behind a simple score
  4. Price the whole repair — We consider part cost, labour, warranty, returns, useful life and final retesting together

What We Do Not Do

  • Accept payment for a repairability score, ranking or coverage placement
  • Let affiliate commission rates influence which parts, tools or services we recommend
  • Let a retailer or manufacturer approve an editorial verdict before publication
  • Present a high-risk repair as a routine home fix without clear limits

Updating Our Content

We review guidance when device revisions, part availability, pairing restrictions, repair programmes or UK pricing materially change. Published articles display their most recent review date and should state where evidence is incomplete.
